Det kr\u00e4ver att medlemsl\u00e4nderna uppr\u00e4ttar omfattande mekanismer och skyddsmekanismer f\u00f6r att visselbl\u00e5sare s\u00e4kerst\u00e4ller att visselbl\u00e5sare p\u00e5 ett s\u00e4kert s\u00e4tt kan rapportera oro och skyddas fr\u00e5n repressalier. Direktivet kr\u00e4ver ocks\u00e5 konfidentialitet, anonymitet och ger effektiva rapporteringskanaler, korrekt uppf\u00f6ljning och tillg\u00e5ng till effektiva \u00e5tg\u00e4rder f\u00f6r whistleblowers.
